I started making a series of portraits I called "portraits of the soul" right after finishing studying psychology in Paris. I decided to start a social study, subjecting people to a series of very personal, sometimes indecent questions, in order to paint something that resembled who they felt on the inside. The whole process became almost ritualistic, from the choice of subject ( or subject choosing me), the courting period before they can trust me enough, to me spending months each time absorbing life through their pov to better interpret them.
